Proposal to support the 8th International Conference on Nitrification and Related Processes (ICoN8)

The Eighth International Conference on Nitrification (ICoN8) was held on the campus of Princeton University from Sunday 30 July through Thursday 3 August, 2023. On Saturday prior to the first day of the official meeting, approximately 70 early career scientists participated in a workshop that included five presentations by grad students/post docs, and round table discussions on career and professional issues, led by members of the ICoN8 Steering committee and invited senior scientists from industry and academia. A total of 148 people registered for the meeting and a dozen or so local participants also attended, representing 15 countries. Fifty-two oral presentations and 72 poster presentations divided approximately equally among six research topics were made, all in plenary mode. The breadth of topics presented at the meeting is documented in the abstract booklet, speaker and poster schedules, which are attached.
