This panel focused on the decommissioning of the AECL Whiteshell Laboratories in Pinawa, Manitoba. The discussion presented successes as well as remaining challenges, including the proposed in-situ disposal of the organic-coated nuclear reactor shell. The panel included representatives from the Owner, the operator, the Canadian regulator, the local municipality and a representative of the indigenous community in the area.
