Analysis of Minnesota`s fifth forest resources inventory, 1990. Forest Service resource bulletin

The fifth Minnesota forest inventory found 16.7 million acres of forest land in 1990, of which 14.7 million acres is timberland. Growing-stock volume on timberland increased from 12.4 to 15.1 billion cubic feet between 1977 and 1990, a gain of 22 percent. Analysis and statistics on forest area, timber volume, growth, removals, mortality, and projections are presented.
