High-Efficiency CdZnTe Postion-Sensitive VFG Gamma-Ray Detectors for Safeguards Applications

The main objective of the project was to design and build an engineering prototype of an advanced gamma-ray spectrometer (nanoRAIDER) by incorporating Cadmium-Zinc-Telluride (CZT) virtual Frisch-grid detectors (with 1% or better energy resolution) into the nanoRAIDER device, manufactured by the FLIR Corporation.
