Strategic market assessment of distributed resources

The Electric Power Research Institute`s (EPRI`s) Utility Resource Planning and Management (URPM) business unit is doing a strategic market assessment of distributed resources (DR). The objective of the study is to assess insightfully, and as conclusively as possible, the driving forces and limiting factors that will determine the future of distributed resources in the electricity/energy service industry in light of recent and ongoing regulatory and structural changes in electricity markets in the United States. The study will provide a basis for utility-specific strategic analysis. The scope is limited to the United States` market and the time frame spans from 1995 to 2010.
