Radiation-induced copolymerization of n-vinyl-pyrrolidone with diethylaminoethyl methacrylate and its quaternary ammonium salt

Radiation-induced copolymerization of N-vinylpyrrolidone with diethylaminoethyl methacrylate and its quaternary ammonium salt, N-(methacryloyloxyethyl)-N,N,N-triethylammonium iodide, in water was investigated. The structure and properties of the polymers were studied in relation to the conditions under which the process was carried out. Water-soluble polymers, of interest as modifiers of biologically active substances, were obtained. 6 refs., 2 figs.
