Use of photothermoplastic media to record rainbow holograms

This paper presents the results of recording rainbow holograms in photothermoplastic media using a helium-neon laser. The dependences of the hologram characteristics on the width of the slit diaphragm are studied for the case of crater relief formation in the medium. The diffraction efficiency of the recorded holograms achieves 12% when the holographic sensitivity is no less than 10{sup 5} cm{sup 2}/J.
