Limits on scalar-leptoquark masses from lepton-flavor-violating processes of the l{sub i} {yields} l{sub j}{gamma} type

Journal Article · · Physics of Atomic Nuclei
The contributions of scalar leptoquarks to lepton-flavor-violating processes of the l{sub i} {yields} l{sub j}{gamma} type are investigated on the basis of the minimal model relying on four-color symmetry and involving the Higgs mechanism of quark- and lepton-mass generation. It is shown that experimental data on the decay processes {mu} {yields} e{gamma}, {tau} {yields} {mu}{gamma}, and {tau} {yields} e{gamma} are compatible with the existence of light scalar leptoquarks belonging to the type being considered and having masses around 1 TeV or below.
