The redevelopment of hydroelectric power at Rawdon, Quebec

The Rawdon Hydroelectric site on the Ouareau River in Quebec, Canada was developed in 1994 by SNC Lavalin within the framework of the Small Hydro Program of Quebec. This paper explains the entire process from the initial proposal to the Ministry of Energy of Quebec to the establishment of commercial operation. It also presents a comprehensive description of the development scheme including the unique approaches used in design and construction as well as the interaction with the municipal master plan and the public utility.
