Modeling and simulation of the propagation of harmonics in electric power networks. Part 1: Concepts, models, and simulation techniques

Journal Article · · IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery
DOI:https://doi.org/10.1109/61.484130· OSTI ID:218328
This two-part report presents a review of the modeling and analysis of harmonic propagation in electric power systems, along with practical considerations and sample case studies. Part 1 of the report concentrates on the theoretical aspects of harmonics modeling and simulation. Concepts and characteristics of power system harmonics, modeling of harmonic sources and network components, and techniques for network-wide harmonic analysis are discussed.
