Thirteen tributyltin methacrylate (TBT) and tri-n-butyltin {alpha}-chloroacrylate (TCA) copolymers (crosslinked and uncrosslinked) were investigated for antifouling activity in open sea for 6 months to 1 year. The percentage and the type of fouling on the immersed panel were identified and recorded periodically. The antifouling ability of these new copolymer systems were compared with uncoated acrylic panel that was also immersed in the sea water along with the test panels.
