We present results of our study of the photochemistry of two atmospherically of important molecules: HO{sub 2} and HOBr. Combining laser induced fluorescence detection of the OH photofragments with vector correlation measurements which monitor the changes in fragment Doppler line shape as a function of the relative polarization/propagation directions of the photolysis and probe lasers, allows us to investigate several aspects of the photodissociation. The talk will focus on the determination of excited electronic state symmetry for HO{sub 2} and HOBr, disposal of available energy, the relative importance of various product channels and a determination of the heat of formation for HOBr.
