Evaluating the dissipation, degradation, and transport of chemicals under actual field-use conditions is important to understanding the behavior of chemicals in the environment. A self-contained modular lysimeter design has been tested that is assembled and installed in the field. A 90 day field study using radiolabeled test substance was conducted North Carolina, U.S.A. Data collected provided information on the test substance`s mobility, degradation rate and components, degradate mobility, as well as the residues observed in the run-off and leachate components. The radioactivity mass balance and laboratory data generated to support the mass balance data will also be presented.
