An experimental study was made of the influence of a periodically varying magnetic field (PVMF) on the power and noise of the radiation of a He - Ne laser, excited by a transverse microwave discharge and emitting at a wavelength of 0.63 {mu}m. An increase in the output power on exposure to the PVMF was observed. The maximum increment in the output power reached 90% for a PVMF of H = 105 Oe intensity. The effect of such a field increased by 10% - 15% the laser radiation noise in the frequency range 10 - 2000 Hz. (control of laser radiation parameters)
