J/{psi}and {chi}{sub c} in nuclear matter

Lattice gauge theory shows that the electric condensate increases abruptly at the phase transition point, while the magnetic condensate hardly changes. We show that smaller but similar precursor phenomena occurs at nuclear medium. Such changes will lead to changes of the charmonium masses in nuclear meduium. We calculate the mass changes using QCD sum rules and 2nd order Stark effect. We discuss possible observation of such effects through experiments producing charmonia inside a heavy nucleus.
