A relativistic generalization of three-quark Faddeev equations for the particles of the (70, 1{sup -}) multiplet is constructed within the dispersion-relation approach. An approximate solution to the relativistic three-quark equations is obtained on the basis of the method of isolating leading singularities of scattering amplitudes. The mass spectrum of the (70, 1{sup -}) multiplet is calculated, and the result is in rather good agreement with corresponding experimental data.
