The CERN Large Hadron Collider will shortly begin operation at energies beyond current experiments. Among early measurements will be inclusive production of the electroweak gauge bosons, W and Z, which primarily demonstrate detector physics performance but may also be compared to standard model expectations. Searches for diboson production, VV, where V = W, Z, {gamma} probe the trilinear gauge couplings of the Electroweak gauge bosons. At Large Hadron Collider energies, the trilinear gauge couplings can be tested in regimes inaccessible at lower energies, giving sensitivity to new physics in electroweak symmetry breaking beyond existing experiments even in the first year of operation at a small fraction of the design luminosity.
