Perturbed conformal field theory: A tool for investigating integrable models

Zamolodchikov's formalism of perturbed conformal field theory is reviewed, and its applications to the analysis of new families of integrable models are discussed. We examine the integrability properties of a class of generalized sine-Gordon models.
