We report on a SLAC measurement of the neutron spin structure function g{sub 1}{sup n} and asymmetry A{sub 1}{sup n} in the kinematic range 0.014<x<0.7 and 1(GeV/c){sup 2}<Q{sup 2}<17(GeV/c){sup 2} using deep inelastic scattering of 48.3 GeV polarized electrons by polarized {sup 3}He. We also present a test of the Bjorken sum rule from a Next-to-Leading order perturbative QCD analysis of world data on the nucleon spin structure functions.
