Hadroproduction of charm in FNAL E769 and E791

I present some recent results from Fermilab charm hadroproduction experiments E769 and E791 that illustrate elements of the QCD parton model of charm hadroproduction. The results from E769 on the beam flavor dependence of the x{sub F} and p{sub t}{sup 2} distributions for D's produced by incident K, p and {pi} beams are used to demonstrate the effect of the parton distribution functions in the incident beam particle. E791 data on charm pairs are used to show features of the underlying gg{yields}cc-bar interaction.
