We have measured the spin structure function of the neutron g{sub 1}{sup n} in the kinematic region 0.014{<=}x{<=}0.7 and 1{<=}Q{sup 2}{<=}15. The experiment was done at SLAC by scattering longitudinal polarized 48.3 GeV electrons from a He{sup 3} target polarized in the longitudinal and transverse directions. g{sub 1}{sup n} becomes more negative with decreasing x in a manner inconsistent with naive single pole Regge theory. In the kinematic region 0.08{<=}x{<=}0.4 we can determine the Q{sup 2} dependence of g{sub 1}{sup n} using data from both our spectrometers. A Next to Leading Order Perturbative QCD analysis has been made with this and previous data to extract the parton distributions and make an estimate of the very low x behavior.
