Experiments have been performed on the SNOP-3 pulse generator to increase the argon K-shell radiation yield and power. A double shell liner structure with and without an initial axial magnetic field was used to increase the plasma radial compressions and pinch plasma density. The K-shell radiation yield and power were measured on varying the inner shell initial radius and the initial axial magnetic field. The measured yields and powers are maximized for the inner-to-outer shell radius ratio r{sub 2}/r{sub 1}=0.3. For comparison, the K-shell radiation yield and power versus the initial radius of a single shell liner were measured.
