A new determination of the strong coupling constant {alpha}{sub S} from the CCFR {nu}-Fe deep inelastic scattering experiment is presented. This {alpha}{sub S} measurement is extracted by fitting the Q{sup 2} evolution of the structure functions F{sub 2} and xF{sub 3} to the prediction of Next to Leading Order (NLO) perturbative quantum chromodynamics (pQCD). The fit yields a value for the QCD scale parameter {lambda}NLO,(4)/MS=337{+-}28(exp.) MeV, which corresponds to a value of {alpha}{sub S}(M{sub Z}{sup 2})=0.119{+-}0.002(exp.){+-}0.004(theory) at the scale of the mass of the Z-boson. The CCFR measurement is compared to results from other experiments.
