Full text: The INAA APCP developed at U.C. Irvine and tested experimentally with the UCI 250 kW TRIGA Mark I reactor has been very successful and useful. Commencing several years ago, copies of it have been distributed to many laboratories that requested them, quite a few of whom have put the program to good use. The BASIC-PLUS program (run earlier at UCI on a PDP-11/45) includes all (n, {gamma}) products, for both thermal-and-epithermal-neutron fluxes. The more extensive FORTRAN-IV program (run earlier at UCI on a DEC-10) - also includes fission-spectrum and 14 MeV-neutron fast-neutron products. The most recent extension of the INAA APCP, to be discussed, is an (n, {gamma}) program for high-intensity (e.g., 1000 MW) TRIGA pulses. At present, both the steady-state and pulsing (n, {gamma}) programs are being rewritten for use with an IBM (or IBM-compatible) Personal Computer. Once the PC version of the steady-state (both thermal and epithermal) APCP is operational, processing of a large number of reference materials of interest to activation analysts (NGS SRM's, IAEA and USGS reference materials, etc.) will be continued and the compiled results made available.
