The Oslo Method and Its Application to Lead Isotopes

The Oslo method has been tested on {sup 205-208}Pb nuclei utilizing the neutron pick-up and inelastic scattering reactions for the extraction of the level density and {gamma} strength function. The preliminary results agree well with the known characteristics of these nuclei.
