Fedorov pseudosymmetry of crystals: Review

Fedorov (i.e., compatible with a crystal lattice) pseudosymmetry of atomic crystal structures, quantitative methods for its evaluation, and the effect of pseudosymmetric features of the structure of crystals on their physical properties are described. Application of crystallographic methods for evaluating pseudosymmetry to environmental monitoring is considered.
