The paper presents the results of the test for heavy metals (Pb, Zn, Cu, Ni, Cr, Ti, Mn, Fe) in soils collected from the stream of the Arda river up to the Greek border in the East Rhodopes region of Bulgaria. The results were obtained using X-ray fluorescence analysis at the Flerov Laboratory for Nuclear Reactions, Joint institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna, Russia.
