Data Quality and First Science Results of the Pierre Auger Experiment

The Pierre Auger Project is building an ultra high energy cosmic ray observatory in the Province of Mendoza, Argentina. A description of the detectors will be given with an emphasis in their hybrid design and calibration and first data will be shown.
