Neutral current cross sections of scattering of {nu}{sub e} on the nuclear isotope {sup 56}Fe, which play a significant role in astrophysical neutrino studies, are used in order to explore the response of this detector to supernova neutrino spectra. We assume a two-parameter Fermi-Dirac distribution for the supernova neutrino spectra and evaluate the flux averaged cross sections for various values of the neutrino temperature and chemical potential parameters.
