A detector for the study of fast kinetics in chemical reactions with a third generation synchrotron radiation beam is described. Its design makes it able to image, in one dimension, every millisecond X-ray scattering cone from isotropic sample with an efficiency greater than 50 %, few photons sensitivity and a spatial resolution of 800 {mu}m in 8 to 12 keV energy range. Internal structure and electronic read-out of this detector are detailed. Preliminary results obtained with an 55Fe radioactive source and an X-ray generator are presented.
