Ion traps have been applied widely for measurements of atomic masses with unprecedented precision. JYFLTRAP tandem Penning trap, located in the Department of Physics, University of Jyvaeskylae, has provided a vast amount of new data in the vicinity of the N = Z line contributing to nuclear astrophysics, nuclear structure studies, and fundamental questions of weak interaction00.
