A double-stub fast ferrite matching system has recently been developed and installed on the Alcator C-Mod tokamak to dynamically match to rapidly changing antenna loading during L-H transitions and ELMs. The equivalent electrical length of the stubs can be varied in real time by changing the magnetic permeability of the ferrite material using a magnetic field. The currents in the magnetic coils are controlled through a digital feedback system. Preliminary operation showed that the fast ferrite system provided a good loading match (power reflection coefficient <3%) to most plasma conditions in Alcator C-Mod.
