Generation of the singlet state for three atoms in cavity QED

We propose a scheme to generate a singlet state with three atoms in cavity QED via Raman transitions. The present scheme does not involve cavity-photon population during the operation and thus is insensitive to the cavity decay. The method can be extended to generate the maximally entangled state of three three-level atoms.
