Solubility in the zirconium oxychloride-hafnium oxychloride-water system at 25 and 50{degree}C

Solubility in the zirconium oxychloride-hafnium oxychloride-water system has been studied at 25 and 50{degrees}C by an isothermal saturation method with X-ray fluorescence determination of Zr and Hf. The method proposed for studying solubility in multicomponent water-salt systems is based on the section method and involves determination of the contents of nonvolatile components in the saturated liquid phases of heterogeneous mixtures with known composition. The method is illustrated using the zirconium oxychloride-hafnium oxychloride-water system at 25{degrees}C.
