The nonlinear solitary Alfven wave in a magnetized dusty plasma with a low {beta} assumption, obliquely propagating to an external magnetic field, is investigated based on the Sagdeev potential. It is found that there exists a double layer solution as well as the compressive solitary Alfven waves. It is shown that the amplitude of the compressive and rarefactive solitary Alfven waves decreases with a dust charge density, whereas that of the double layer behaves in the opposite way. In addition, it is found that the speed of the solitary Alfven wave is independent of the dust charge density.
