These are lecture notes for a course on some fundamentals of QFT, with emphasis in the interplay between field theory and distribution theory. The plan includes: The S-matrix and causality. Wick products and time-ordered products. Multiplication of distributions. Renormalization by extension of distributions. Concrete calculations (mostly in second order). We end by a summary on the Epstein-Glaser recursions, new and old.
