Nuclear charge radius for {sup 3}He

An rms nuclear charge radius r{sub c}=1.9642(11) fm for {sup 3}He is derived from measurements of the 2 {sup 3}S{sub 1}-2 {sup 3}P{sub 0} isotope shift combined with the best available data on the fine structure of {sup 4}He, the hyperfine structure of {sup 3}He, and an assumed r{sub c}=1.673(1) fm for {sup 4}He. The result removes a small discrepancy between some older spectroscopic determinations of r{sub c} for {sup 3}He from this transition and a more recent measurement.
