I report about our recent results on hypothetical nuclear systems containing antibaryons. Previously we have demonstrated that such systems may have enhanced binding energies and high baryon densities. In this talk I put main emphasis on realistic estimates of antibaryon annihilation probabilities in dense nuclear matter. Our estimates show that due to in-medium modifications the life times of antibaryon-nuclear systems may be long enough for their observation. Finally I discuss possible observable signatures of such systems.
