The possible analytic extensions of Matsubara thermal n-point functions from discrete, imaginary energies to more general complex energies are investigated. It is known that for n{>=}4 most of the analytic extensions cannot be expressed as linear combinations of the usual 2{sup n} different real-time n-point functions. For the case n=4 the explicit products of real-time field operators are found whose Fourier transforms can be extended analytically to certain domains of complex energy.
