Evidence for f{sub 0}(980)f{sub 0}(980) production in {chi}{sub c0} decays

Using a sample of 14x10{sup 6} {psi}(2S) events accumulated with the BES II detector, evidence for f{sub 0}(980)f{sub 0}(980) production in {chi}{sub c0} decays is obtained for the first time; the branching ratio is determined to be B[{chi}{sub c0}{yields}f{sub 0}(980)f{sub 0}(980){yields}{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -}{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -}]=[7.6{+-}1.9 (stat){+-}1.6 (syst)]x10{sup -4}. The significance of the f{sub 0}(980) signal is about 4.6{sigma}.
