Using a 33 MeV proton beam with our Enge split-pole spectrograph, we measured the Q{sub 0} values of the {sup 24}Mg(p,t){sup 22}Mg and {sup 28}Si(p,t){sup 26}Si reactions relative to that of the {sup 16}O(p,t){sup 14}O reaction. Data were obtained at scattering angles of 15 deg. and 25 deg. Based on the masses of {sup 24}Mg, {sup 28}Si, {sup 16}O, {sup 14}O,p, and t, we determined the mass excesses of {sup 22}Mg and {sup 26}Si to be -400.5(1.0) and -7139.5(1.0) keV, respectively. Our result for the mass of {sup 22}Mg is in excellent agreement with recent high-precision measurements.
