Photoresponse of thin La{sub 0.75}Ca{sub 0.25}MnO{sub 3} films to laser radiation

Temperature dependent photoresponse of thin La{sub 0.75}Ca{sub 0.25}MnO{sub 3} films to visible and near-infrared laser radiation has been studied in a wide temperature range. At temperatures below 50 K, the authors have found a non-bolometric contribution to the response which can be explained by suppression of the spin-glass-like ordering in the film due to the absorption of radiation with quantum energy high enough for excitation of spin-flip process.
