Electron energy spectra (EES) for H{sup {minus}} doubly excited states resulting from collisions of H{sup {minus}} with He, p, and {bar p} are rigorously calculated within a semiclassical molecular representation by including couplings between doubly excited states and continuum states and their interference with direct-detachment processes. An energy sampling procedure, based on the Gauss quadratures, is used to discretize continuum states. The present results clarify double-excitation mechanisms and identify the contributions to the EES from each of three excited states, H{sup {minus}}(2s{sup 2}), H{sup {minus}}(2p{sup 2}), and H{sup {minus}}(2s2p).
