Cladding Ring Tension Testing (RTT) of unirradiated cladding materials using Digital Image Correlation (DIC). RTT is an important tool for determining hoop strength of thin-walled tubing, especially in anisotropic materials such as zirconium fuel cladding. The goal is to set up a DIC system to a tensile test on these RTT specimens and study the mechanical properties.
