Measurements of the $$t\bar{t}$$ Cross Section at D0 and Interpretations

We present measurements of the production cross in collisions at a center of mass energy of = 1.96 TeV using dilepton, hadronic tau, lepton+jets and all hadronic events depending on the decay products of the W bosons from the top decays with data c ollected by the D0 detector We use the ratios of t cross sections in different final states to set upper limits on the branching fractions B(tH+b b)) < 15% and B(tH+bc b)) < 57% for low charged-Higgs masses. Finally, based on predictions from higher order quantum chromodynamics, we extract a mass for the top quark from the combined t cross section.
