OSTI ID:195260
This is the second report on studies of stope-scale seismicity that the U.S. Bureau of Mines (USBM) has conducted using data gathered at a hard-rock mine in northern Idaho as part of its mine safety program. The second report describes and discusses characteristics of a particularly prominent group of microseismic events: the aftershocks that immediately follow the larger events and production or destress blasts.
