Preparations are under way for measuring temperature coefficients of reactivity on D₂O moderated lattices of the simulated burned-up UO₂ fuel assemblies used in earlier Savannah River Laboratory (SRL) tests. This fuel is currently on loan to Chalk River, but is scheduled to be shipped back to SRL in September. As a preliminary to the UO₂ fuel tests the hot organic loop, which will be used in some of the experiments, was tested using seven UC roc clusters in the Subcritical Experiment (SE).
