VPIC 2.0 is an open source, fully kinetic, fully relativistic, general purpose particle-in-cell (PIC) code for modeling a broad range of plasmas—from micron-scale short-pulse laser-plasma interactions to Earth-scale magnetospheric plasmas, including laser-plasma instability, magnetic flux ropes, and magnetic reconnection.
