Measurement of the inclusive and dijet cross-sections of b jets in p p collisions at s = 7 TeV with the ATLAS detector

Dataset ·
CERN-LHC. Measurements of the inclusive and dijet production cross sections for jets containing b-hadrons from proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. The analysis uses a data sample with total integrated luminosity of 34 pb^{-1}. b-jets are identified using either a lifetime-based method using vertex information or a muon-based method using the presence of a muon to identify semileptonic decays. The inclusive cross section is measured as a function of PT in range 20 to 400 GeV with |y| < 2.1. The dijet cross section is measured as a function dijet invariant mass in the range 100 to 760 GeV, the azimuthal difference between the two jets and the angular variable chi (defined as exp|y1-y2|) in two dijet mass regions.
