A mode conversion miter bend with an angle controllable mirror was developed. By changing the mirror angle, the RF beam angle in the miter bend is controlled and the transmission mode contents (LP01 and LP11 modes) are controlled. The miter bend was tested using a 170 GHz milliwatt-class low power RF system. The dependence of the ratio of operating LP01 mode and higher order LP11 mode on the miter bend mirror angle was acquired. The concept of mode conversion system was validated.
